| Q. How much space does the band need to set up? | A. We require a space 20' wide by 15' deep at minimum. |
| Q. Does the band need electric power? | A. Yes we do need electric power for our bass, guitar and PA systems. |
| Q. What does the band charge for playing? | A. That is a hard question to answer without more information. We need to know how long is the show, how far is it, setup requirements? I know we charge less then most professional DJ services. Please contact us for a quote. |
| Q. Do you just play dances? | A. No we can also play dinner music, back ground music or concerts. We format our show to fit your needs. |
| Q. Do we need to provide you with a piano? | A. It does make it much easier to use yours but we do have an electric portable piano. |
| Q. Does the band have a master of ceremonies? | A. Yes we have a MC to announce songs or make your announcements. Remember we customize our performance to your needs. |

| Q. Is The Akron Big Band a professional band? | A. Yes. We are a non-profit corporation. This means that none of our members relies on this to support them selves. This also means that this is a work of love and you will hear it in every note we play for you. |
| Q. Who have you played for? | A. We have both played for the largest to the smallest of organizations and groups. Weddings, retirement parties, dances, birthdays, fundraisers, public concerts, and civic functions. You name it we do it. |
| Q. How long has The Akron Big Band been around? | A. We are the oldest big band in continues operation, in Ohio . We started in the mid 50's and never stopped. You need to read our history. |
| Q. How often do you play? | A. Unlike most bands we play all the time. We average 50 to 70 times a year for the last 50+ years. That is thousands of performances and tens of thousands happy listeners. |
| Q. How much lead time do you need for booking you at our party? | A. Earlier is always the best, but call and see if we have an opening on short notice. |
| Q. What kinds of music do you play? | A. We have a library of a thousand tunes. Our specialty is the swing music of Glen Miller, Artie Shaw and Benny Goodman. Music from the 40's. We can customize our performance to your needs. In the past we have put together patriotic shows for the 4 th of July and Veterans Day. We have even played a polka or two over the years. |
